Dr. Randy Duncan - Welcome

This is the shared blog for COM 3093 PERSUASION

The Persuasion course is designed to help students become more effective and ethical creators of persuasion, and better critical consumers of other people's persuasive messages.

The image to the right - Rosie the Riveter - is one of the best known and most powerful persuasive messages in our culture.  By the end of this semester you should understand more about how Rosie became such an icon.

During the course of the semester you will be given assignments to find and analyze persuasive messages. You will share your analysis with the rest of the class by posting it on this blog.

  1. A few examples of how each candidate does not display the characteristics of would be the past record the candidates, has not worked in the area that their running for. The candidates does have the Bill Cassidy enhanced his credibility by saying that he is a doctor, which works in the heath care. So he would know what is actually needed and the prices to set for medication for Americans that are currently not able to afford the medicine. Bill Cassidy has been a doctor for over 20 years in the Louisiana charity hospital system. Which gives him an idea on what is needed in more of a poor part of the city. With Rob manes credibility is that he has a long line of military in his family. Rob feels that he should be voted as senate because of that very reason that he has fought for our country. I feel that people would vote more on the person that has the background in the health care than someone that has fought for the United States of America.
With question number three which of the two candidates has the highest credibility. I would have to say bill Cassidy has the most credibility just for the simple fact that he has worked in the health care field before. He also touches on points that our current president is stopping at nothing to break down the constitution piece by piece. Bill Cassidy has great ideas to reform the health care act to benefit the working people
goodwill and the energy that is needed to persuade for votes. The candidates also plays on the empathy of the audience saying that the Obama care is wrecking our country and putting good people out of
    work
