Jordan Johnson - Blog Post 2 - Target Audience

 
- The product/ advertisement above represents the Proactiv brand. In this advertisement, they seem to be targeting women with acne. Although there is not a specific age, one might tend to believe that they are targeting teenage females. This advertisement also seems to appeal to all cultures and ethnic backgrounds, basically every woman that is single. This ad seems to appeal to a more urban community and it might tell a teenage girl that getting a boyfriend can be easy if she were to use this product.This correlates with Maslow's Needs of belonging and esteem. Furthermore, it connects with the American need to Change and Progress to keep up with today's changing world.
















- Above, we see two ads for the product AXE body spray. These ads and the products seem to only appeal to teenage/young adult males. It does not seem to address and specific ethnicity or culture. However, it is targeting the urban community. These ads and others like them seem to try and relay the overall message that using these products will transform an "average joe" into a "ladies man" with a couple sprits of the product. This ad, like the previous, seem to directly correspond to Maslow's Needs of both Belonging and Esteem. In addition, ads like these associate with the American values of Change and Progress, in order to true get what you want, you must alter yourself.
