Kre - Blog Post 6 - Activist Art
The argument being made by this work of art is, "integration not segregation." This supports all equal opportunity laws which are enforced in the workforce. Equal Opportunity is the future and no supporters should get over it is another way it supports a certain cause. The targeted audience here would be all Americans which is where the Equal Opportunity Act was established in 1972. This is the future of America and there is no way of getting around integration is the symbol implied here. These photo shows children and adults conforming to the new norm. This is a conservative out take on the main message of the photo. There is no phrase or group of words that must describe this photo, "a picture is worth a thousand words." With that said the photo's message could be interpreted as a race for the cure of cancer.
