1. Give specific examples of how each candidate does or does not display the characteristics          listed above.

 

      Mary Landrieu has a very professional home screen for her website but little else. you cant really find where her credentials come from and you actually get more information on her from her opponents websites. she does have a Facebook page link that lets you follow where she is speaking and so on and so forth but nothing on her platforms. she does seem confident and at ease in her current position. she also seems likeable enough but it is very hard to get any other information from her website that would speak to her competence, trustworthiness, or her expertise.
     Bill Cassidy has great website that is easy to manage and navigate. on the left side of his home page is a list of hot topics that you can click and see what his stance is. he also served as a doctor along with his wife Laura so he seems credible on how to deal with the healthcare reform sweeping the nation. he also talks about his proposals and works in the past all of which has served the people of Louisiana. he even talks about the keystone pipeline and bringing in more jobs and fuel to the area. I would say he is very credible, trustworthy, and caring. he out of the three candidates would have my vote based on the information that can be gathered from his website.
     Rob Maness has a very colorful website that is better that Mary Landrieu's but not as good as Bill Cassidy's he is clearly former military as can easily be seen from his home page and his website is pushing NRA benefits as much as the benefits that will come from his election. he is a member of the tea party which makes me question his credibility and weather or not he has a chance to win. he also speaks directly to the conservatives asking for support without even attempting to persuade the liberal or moderate side of his potential continuance which makes me question his trustworthiness.

2.  Explain what each candidate has done to enhance his or her credibility.
    Mary Landrieu seems to be pushing the fact that she is the incumbent as grounds for her being credible. but her lack of information on her website makes that difficult.
     Bill Cassidy has talked about his service as a doctor as well as turning a Kmart into a surge hospital during Katrina, and his free vaccination of over 30,000 uninsured children. all of which does contribute to his credibility that he will represent Louisiana well.
     Rob Maness talks about his military service and that of his family's military service as well as his dedication to the second amendment. all of which does make him seem credible.


3.  Which of the two candidates has the highest credibility?  Why?
I would say that Cassidy and Maness have the highest credibility. both Cassidy and Maness talk on their website about their past and what they hope to do in the future. they also each post NRA ratings they also have information about how they feel about hot button issues like healthcare and gun control. Mary Landrieu has little or no information about her on her website and I learned more by the things her opponents said.
